The Rape Recovery Center is a 501 (c) 3 not-for-profit organization that depends on the generous support of individuals to sustain its programs and services. Your contribution to will help guarantee free, confidential services to victims of rape and sexual violence. Through your donation, you can help to support youth education and community outreach programs and provide victims and survivors of sexual violence with emergency and long term services. Donations are greatly appreciated and tax-deductible.

Donor Privacy Policy

The Rape Recovery Center reatains and uses donor information for the following purposes:

1.      To allow the Rape Recovery Center to comply with donor’s restrictions and designations, to provide donors with charitable giving tax information and for donor recognition programs. The information is retained in the financial records of Rape Recovery Center for financial recording and internal financial accounting control purposes.

2.      Donor information may also be added to the Rape Recovery Center donor list and database and you may be contacted about Rape Recovery Center activities, news and/or fundraising campaigns.  

On-line donations are facilitated through JustGive.org which uses SSL online technology to maintain the integrity of donor information. Please see JustGive.org’s privacy policy, available on their website, for more information.   

Upon written request to the Executive Director of the Rape Recovery Center, donors may be allowed access to their personal information and specify that the information be corrected, oppose the retention of the information, or request its elimination from the Rape Recovery Center’s information records.

3. Employer Matching Gifts
More and more companies, particularly large corporations, are now conducting their own employee workplace giving fund drives. In order to encourage charitable giving, the companies will often "match" your gift - thereby doubling your gift for rape and sexual violence victims. Some will even "double-match" your donations to triple the impact of your original donation.
Please check with your human resources director at your company to make sure the Rape Recovery Center is included in your company's campaign. If the center is not, please request an application for the Rape Recovery Center or call us, so that we may be considered for your campaign.

4. Tribute and Memorial Donations
Why not give a meaningful gift instead of a material one? Tribute and memorial donations are a great way to mark the holidays, birthdays, or other special occasions.
Tribute and memorial gifts express how much you care - about the cause and our community. When you donate to the Rape Recovery Center in honor of someone you love and/or respect, we will send a special card notifying your honoree of your gift.
